Japan to host the 20th Asian Games Aichi-Nagoya 2026 opening ceremony
Today, September 19, Japan will host the grand opening ceremony for the 20th Asian Games Aichi-Nagoya 2026. The continent’s major sporting event will officially begin with an opening ceremony at the Paloma Mizuho Stadium at 2:00 PM Tashkent time.
Over 11,000 athletes from 45 countries are participating in the competition, held under the auspices of the Olympic Council of Asia. During the 16 days of the Asian Games, athletes will compete for 1,407 sets of medals in 469 events across 43 sports and 71 disciplines.
The Uzbekistan delegation will also compete in several sports competitions.
