International Forum participants arrive in Samarkand
Participants of the First International Islamic Civilization Forum have arrived in Samarkand.
The government and public figures, muftis, renowned scholars and theologians, academics, researchers, museums and library leaders, as well as representatives of international organizations and the media from more than 50 countries are taking part in the prestigious international event, organized by the Islamic Civilization Centre, the Committee for Religious Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Imam Maturidi, Imam Bukhari, and Imam Termizi International Research Centers, the Muslim Board of Uzbekistan, the International Islamic Academy of Uzbekistan and the Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ICESCO).
Within two days, Tashkent hosted several forum events, and important documents were adopted, including the Tashkent Declaration and the Roadmap for the development of the Islamic Civilization Center in Uzbekistan for 2027-2030.
Within the framework of the forum, a conference titled “Al-Jami' al-Musnad As-Sahih by Imam al-Bukhari: The Book of an Ummah” will be held at the Imam Bukhari Memorial Complex in Samarkand. The participants will discuss the scientific legacy of Imam Bukhari, the criteria for selecting hadiths, as well as the role and significance of the collection “Sahih al-Bukhari” in the development of world Islamic science.
In addition, a conference titled “The legacy of Imam Maturidi – the foundation of moderation and rational thinking in Islamic civilization” will be held. During the event, participants will exchange views on Imam Maturidi’s teachings, the scientific heritage of the Maturidi school’s representatives, and its relevance in the modern world.
The participants will also visit the Imam Bukhari Memorial Complex and other historical and cultural monuments in Samarkand.
At Samarkand Railway Station, the region’s Hokim Adiz Boboyev and other officials welcomed the guests.
