Interethnic harmony and tolerance are crucial for development

The Bashkir Public Cultural Center hosted an event titled “Uzbekistan – Our Common Home” at the Pavilion of National Cultural Centers at the Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan on Interethnic Relations and Compatriots Abroad.

Currently, approximately 150 national cultural centers operate nationwide. They play a vital role in safeguarding the unique traits of national cultures, promoting traditions, customs, holidays, and art, and actively engaging in cultural events and festivals under the themes “Friendship” and “Uzbekistan – Our Common Home”.

The Bashkir Public Cultural Center’s activities deserve special recognition. It actively engages in numerous cultural, educational, and artistic events across the country. Notably, one important event was a concert celebrating Independence Day of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Amid extensive reforms, national cultural centers are crucial in promoting a culture of tolerance and enhancing interethnic harmony. They play a key role in encouraging young people to respect different cultures and traditions and in providing ample opportunities for various ethnic groups to learn and use their native languages freely.

Uzbekistan’s efforts to foster interethnic harmony and religious tolerance are gaining wide recognition and are increasingly promoted globally. Mutual respect, friendship, and good-neighborly relations among different nationalities and ethnic groups are not just societal values but also a solid foundation for the country’s peace, stability, and sustainable development.
