Ilham Tuah bin Illias: The Imam Bukhari Complex will promote “Umrah Plus” pilgrimage tourism
Ilham Tuah bin Illias, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Malaysia to Uzbekistan, commented on the commissioning of the Imam Bukhari Complex in Samarkand.
According to him, this event is an expression of deep respect and reverence for the great scholars of the Islamic world.
“This is a very significant occasion”, the diplomat said. “Indeed, it reflects a high level of respect for a great figure of the Islamic world. The hadiths of Imam Bukhari are recognized by Muslims worldwide. This collection is known as Sahih al-Bukhari”.
Now the flow of tourists from Malaysia will increase even further, as our compatriots are well aware of this sacred pilgrimage site.
Moreover, the availability of direct air connections between our countries is also an important factor in the development of pilgrimage tourism. At present, the “Umrah Plus” project is being planned. It is encouraging that citizens returning from Umrah or Hajj will have the opportunity to stop in Samarkand and visit the Imam Bukhari complex.
