Global citizenship in education
A seminar focused on integrating global citizenship education into curricula was held in Tashkent.
The event was organized by the Ministry of Preschool and School Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Republican Education Center in cooperation with the Asia-Pacific Centre of Education for International Understanding under the auspices of UNESCO.

The initiative aims to educate the younger generation in loyalty to national values and to foster a sense of involvement in global issues such as human rights, social justice, and intercultural dialogue.
The project aims to enhance students’ competitiveness in the global job market by building their critical thinking, media literacy, and tolerance in alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals.

It was noted that this year the project’s main focus will be on consistently integrating global citizenship education principles into curricula and on developing work plans and methodological guides for teachers.
