Germany is interested in long-term cooperation with Uzbekistan
The First Deputy Chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan Sodiq Safoyev met with deputies of the German Bundestag Peter Felser and Christoph Birghan.
The parties discussed the current state and prospects of multifaceted relations between Uzbekistan and Germany.
It was emphasized that inter-parliamentary dialogue is essential for enhancing relations between the two nations, fostering new initiatives, and executing joint projects.
Views were exchanged on expanding cooperation between Germany and Central Asian countries and on strengthening ties in scientific research and education.
The German Parliamentarians noted that Uzbekistan, located at the center of Central Asia and possessing significant economic potential and human capital, occupies a key place in the region. They also emphasized that Germany is interested in long-term cooperation with Uzbekistan.
Following the meeting, the parties reaffirmed their willingness to expand practical cooperation and to maintain regular contact in the identified priority areas.
