Development of educational and scientific cooperation within the OTS discussed
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan hosted a meeting to implement the President’s initiatives in education, science, and innovation within the framework of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS).
The event brought together about 30 representatives from the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation, the Academy of Sciences, the Uzcosmos Agency, the State Museum of the Memory of Victims of Repression, and universities belonging to the Turkic Universities Union (TURKUNIB).
The participants reviewed the results of Uzbekistan’s work during its chairmanship of TURKUNIB, discussed the current status of the Orhun academic exchange program, the provision of educational grants for young people from Turkic states at the Central Asian University of Environmental and Climate Change Studies, and the establishment of a program to support joint scientific research at the International University of Turkic States.
Special focus was given to preparations for events scheduled this year within the framework of the Organization of Turkic States. Notably, participants discussed organizing the Days of Turkic Science and Innovation as well as hosting the international scientific conference titled “The Works of Nizami Ganjavi and Alisher Navoi in the Spiritual Life of the Turkic World”.
