Deep respect was expressed for veterans whose lives and deeds have become a model of courage and resilience
On May 8, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited participants in the Second World War and labor front veterans, congratulating them on the holiday.
At the Central Military Clinical Hospital of the Ministry of Defense, the Head of State had a warm conversation with Mr. Akmal Akramov, Mrs. Vera Juravskaya, Mr. Khasanboy Khalmatov, and Mr. Vladimir Alekseykov, inquiring about their well-being and health, and especially noting their difficult life journey and the courage they had shown.

“You are living witnesses to history, a symbol of courage and resilience. Meetings with respected people like you and the opportunity to hear your guidance give us tremendous spiritual support. Our people are rightly proud of you. Today’s peaceful and free days and the happy destiny of future generations are the result of your unparalleled selfless labor. Your instructive life path is a true school of courage and resilience for our youth”, the President said.

In accordance with the resolution of the Head of State of April 16 this year, special attention and support are being provided to war participants and labor front veterans.

Participants in the Second World War, labor front veterans, as well as the families of servicemen who died while performing their official duties during the years of independence, are under the constant care of the state. Along with material and moral support, they receive preferential vouchers to the best sanatoriums of the country to improve their health.

“In recognition of your patriotism and selfless service, the Almighty has granted you a long life and the happiness of living in the honor and respect of the people. Your prayers bring prosperity to our country and success to our endeavors”, the President said.

During the meeting, the veterans expressed gratitude to the Head of State for the work underway in the country to restore historical memory and honor the older generation.
