Cooperation with Saudi Arabia on migration is expanding
During talks between Behzod Musayev, Director of the Migration Agency under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and Ahmed Al Sharqi, Deputy Minister of Human Resources and Social Development of Saudi Arabia, information was provided on the new labor market strategy, modern mechanisms for attracting foreign labor, and the introduction of a system for categorizing work visas by skill levels (basic, intermediate, advanced).
It was emphasized that several important agreements were reached during the negotiations. In particular, a joint working group will be established between the Migration Agency and the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development. Personnel in Uzbekistan will be trained in healthcare, construction, tourism, and engineering in accordance with international standards. Qualification examinations will be organized. A dedicated system will be introduced to employ candidates in this country.

The talks also addressed issues related to introducing targeted education and vocational training programs for in-demand professions, in cooperation with KDOT, a recruitment organization specializing in attracting foreign labor and supplying employers in Saudi Arabia with personnel, as well as with major employers.
