Baku specialists visit Tashkent Airport
A working meeting took place in Tashkent with representatives from Uzbekistan Airports, Azerbaijan’s transport sector, AZCON holding, Heydar Aliyev International Airport’s Director in Baku, and the Chief Adviser to Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Digital Development and Transport.
The guests toured Tashkent Airport, examining its infrastructure and sharing insights into managing operations, technical airfield maintenance, and flight safety. They noted that the runway surface is highly load-resistant, durable, and reliable under various climatic conditions. The delegation also assessed the terminal complex’s operation and the technological solutions implemented at the airport.
A key topic of the meeting was airfield risk management. The participants discussed methods for detecting and controlling foreign object debris (FOD), along with measures to reduce risks from birds and wildlife.
The importance of consistently continuing cooperation to improve airport operations, raise safety standards and exchange practical experience was noted.
