Uzbekistan’s oncologists gain experience in France
Uzbekistan’s specialists are participating in a training and practical internship at Gustave Roussy, France’s leading cancer center.
According to the Republican Specialized Scientific and Practical Medical Center of Oncology and Radiology, during the internship, specialists gain firsthand insight into the center’s clinical and laboratory activities, including pathomorphological and molecular genetic diagnostics, patient management systems, and the principles of a multidisciplinary approach.

The program covers key areas such as gastrointestinal oncology, gynecologic and thoracic oncology, sarcoma treatment, hematology, radiation therapy, molecular diagnostics, and precision medicine (a modern medical approach in which disease prevention, diagnosis, and treatment are tailored to each patient’s individual characteristics). The program also includes multidisciplinary consultations and discussions of clinical cases.

Meetings are scheduled with the center’s Director General, Professor Fabrice Barlesi, as well as leading professors and specialists from various departments.
