Uzbekistan’s efforts in international human rights are widely acknowledged
Chairperson of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis Tanzila Narbayeva met with foreign human rights commissioners – ombudspersons, and representatives from international organizations attending an international conference in Uzbekistan.
During the meeting, the parties talked about safeguarding human rights and freedoms, sharing experiences, and enhancing cooperation among parliaments, ombudspersons, and national human rights institutions.

Participants highly assessed Uzbekistan’s international efforts in this area, along with reforms aimed at protecting women’s and children’s rights, promoting gender equality, and enhancing mechanisms for safeguarding citizens’ rights and freedoms.

It was highlighted that examining international legal standards, sharing advanced international experience, exchanging best practices, and collaboratively addressing urgent issues are crucial for improving the effectiveness of human rights protection.
