Uzbekistan delegation takes part in the ALIPH Foundation Board’s meeting

Chairperson of the Uzbekistan Art and Culture Development Foundation, Gayane Umerova, took part in the 17th meeting of the ALIPH Foundation Board (International Alliance for the Protection of Heritage in Conflict Areas), in Paris.

Since 2025, Uzbekistan has been a member of the ALIPH Council, the governing body of the international alliance that makes key decisions on the preservation of cultural heritage.

During the meeting, the strategic directions of the organization’s activities, new international projects, and issues related to the protection of cultural heritage sites were considered.

A separate block of discussions was devoted to initiatives being implemented in Uzbekistan. The participants reviewed projects for the preservation of museum collections, the protection of cultural heritage monuments, and specialists’ training in restoration.
