Uzbekistan – China: Cooperation in security and combating crime
During the Central Asia – China Meeting, a bilateral meeting was held in Astana between the Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Lieutenant General Aziz Tashpulatov, and the Minister of Public Security of the People's Republic of China, Wang Xiaohong.
Issues of cooperation in areas such as crime prevention, public safety, and professional development were discussed. Special attention was paid to strengthening interagency ties and developing effective cooperation to address current threats and challenges.
The importance of expanding cooperation in the fight against terrorism and extremism, drug trafficking, organized crime, and other forms of transnational crime, as well as organizing the exchange of experience in cybersecurity and digital forensics, was noted. The parties exchanged views on expanding practical cooperation and the continued implementation of joint initiatives.
At the meeting, held in a friendly and constructive atmosphere, important tasks to develop cooperation across many areas were identified. A cooperation program for 2026-2027 has been signed.
