Uzbekistan and Türkiye strengthen cooperation in the agricultural sector

Deputy Minister of Agriculture Jamshidjon Abduzukhurov met with Serdar Şendağ, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Turkish Seedling Producers Union (FÜAB).

The parties reviewed Türkiye’s experience in establishing and developing a nursery production system, opportunities to introduce it in Uzbekistan, and prospects for cooperation between the two countries.

As noted during the meeting, FÜAB is Türkiye’s leading organization in nursery production and actively contributes to improving seedling quality and expanding export potential. The country has established a system for producing certified seedlings and built modern in vitro laboratories.

Following the meeting, the Research Institute of Horticulture, Viticulture, and Winemaking named after Academician M. Mirzayev and FÜAB signed a Memorandum of Understanding to develop and strengthen scientific and practical cooperation.
