Travel to Khiva is now more convenient: Second Jaloliddin Manguberdi high-speed train launched

Uzbekistan continues to develop domestic tourism and modernize its transportation infrastructure, making the country’s historical and cultural attractions more accessible to local and international visitors.

Starting July 22, the second Jaloliddin Manguberdi high-speed electric train will begin operating regular services on the Tashkent – Khiva – Tashkent route.

According to the schedule, the train will depart from Tashkent on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays at 7:00 a.m., and from Khiva on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays at 7:15 a.m. The journey will take 7 hours and 36 minutes.

As part of Uzbekistan’s transport modernization program, six Hyundai Rotem high-speed electric trains were purchased with support from the Export-Import Bank of Korea. Three of the trains have already been delivered to Uzbekistan. The first train began operating on the Tashkent – Khiva – Tashkent route on May 5 this year.
