The President of Tajikistan to pay a state visit to Uzbekistan
At the invitation of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon will pay a state visit to Uzbekistan on March 26-27.
As part of the visit program, high-level talks and the inaugural meeting of the Supreme Interstate Council, chaired by the leaders of Uzbekistan and Tajikistan, will be held.
Key topics of the upcoming events will include strengthening friendship, good neighborliness, strategic partnership, and alliance between Uzbekistan and Tajikistan.
Particular attention will be given to strengthening political dialogue, expanding trade, economic and interregional cooperation, deepening industrial cooperation, improving transport connectivity, ensuring water and energy security, and continuing extensive cultural and humanitarian exchanges.
The heads of state will exchange views on current issues on the international and regional agenda, as well as on cooperation within multilateral frameworks.
It is also planned to launch several new joint projects and sign a significant package of bilateral documents to strengthen multifaceted cooperation.
