The DATA4CRM Project has been launched
A meeting, timed to the launch of a joint European Union – Uzbekistan project on critical raw materials, took place at the University of Geological Sciences.
Representatives of relevant ministries, as well as leading geological institutions of European countries, attended the event.

Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Minister of Mining Industry and Geology, Rustam Yusupov, stressed the importance of expanding international cooperation in the geological industry, studying critical raw materials, and developing modern geological research.
The mechanisms for implementing the DATA4CRM Project, Uzbekistan’s scientific potential in critical raw materials, the state of geoinformation databases, and ongoing activities in this area were discussed at the meeting.

After the discussions, the initiative “Development of geological research to support the search for minerals for critical raw materials (CRM) in Uzbekistan – DATA4CRM” was officially launched.
The project aims to improve the quality of geological research in identifying and studying critical raw materials, creating a modern data system, expanding international cooperation, and making effective use of Uzbekistan’s mineral resource potential.
As noted at the event, the implementation of this initiative will contribute to the widespread adoption of modern approaches in Uzbekistan's geological industry and strengthen international partnerships.
