Spanish investors consider opening four- and five-star hotels in Uzbekistan
The Deputy Chairman of the Tourism Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan Sukhrobjon Bobokalonov met with a delegation from Barceló Hotel Group, led by Chief Executive Officer Raúl González.
The parties discussed accelerating tourism development in Uzbekistan, modernizing hotel infrastructure, attracting international hotel brands, and increasing foreign investment in the sector.
The guests were briefed on the favorable conditions in Uzbekistan for foreign investors, measures to develop tourist zones and clusters, and existing mechanisms to support the hotel business.
The Barceló Hotel Group is interested in opening four- and five-star hotels in Uzbekistan.
The parties discussed transferring existing tourist facilities to Barceló Hotel Group management, reconstructing them to meet modern requirements, and developing them in line with international standards.
