Scientific cooperation between Uzbekistan and Russia
In recent years, the state policy aimed at developing science and innovation has been consistently strengthened in Uzbekistan.
In this process, the expansion of international scientific cooperation and the establishment of joint research are becoming key priorities.
The new agreement on scientific cooperation between the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan and the Ural Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences is one of the strategic initiatives. The document aims not only to strengthen the official partnership but also to improve the effectiveness of scientific research. It provides for the implementation of joint research projects, the exchange of scientific data and publications, expanded access for scientists to scientific infrastructure, libraries, and archives, and the organization of conferences and workshops. The results of the collaboration are expected to have a significant impact on science. In particular, the formation of joint scientific schools, the transfer of innovative technologies, the increased potential of scientific personnel, the attraction of international grants, and the strengthening of regional scientific integration will bring Uzbekistan’s scientific system even closer to the global scientific space. All this will not only strengthen bilateral scientific ties but also contribute to broader regional and international scientific integration.
