Prime Minister of India is briefed on the progress of yoga development in Uzbekistan
During his state visit to Uzbekistan, the Prime Minister of the Republic of India Narendra Modi attended a special event hosted by the Yoga Federation of Uzbekistan at the Hilton Hotel in Tashkent on August 30.
Chairman of the Yoga Federation of Uzbekistan J. Artykhodjaev welcomed the distinguished guest. To honor the visit of India’s Head of Government, an official welcome message from Uzbekistan’s sports community was shown on the venue’s media screen.
During the event, the Prime Minister and officials observed demonstration performances by Uzbekistan’s yoga practitioners. The program showcased the growing popularity and modern development of this ancient practice among Uzbekistan’s youth.
The distinguished guest was shown videos highlighting bilateral cooperation between India and Uzbekistan, as well as the Uzbekistan national team’s successful performance at the first World Yogasana Championship, held in Ahmedabad in June 2026.
Following the event, the Prime Minister of India took part in a commemorative photo session with the leadership of the Yoga Federation of Uzbekistan.
