Preventing musculoskeletal disorders remains a top healthcare priority
Tashkent hosted the 8th Eurasian Congress of Rheumatologists, a prestigious international event organized by the Ministry of Health, the Association of Rheumatologists of Uzbekistan, and other partner organizations.
Along with specialists from Uzbekistan, the congress welcomed more than 70 leading scientists, speakers, and international experts representing over 10 countries, including China, Russia, France, Singapore, Belarus, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Tajikistan.
As part of the congress, participants attended presentations designed to facilitate the exchange of experience and strengthen professional cooperation among Eurasian specialists. In particular, Professor Hilola Mirahmedova, Chief Consultant for Rheumatology at the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan, delivered a presentation titled “Rheumatology in Uzbekistan: achievements and development prospects”. The presentation highlighted rheumatology achievements in Uzbekistan, modern diagnostic and treatment options, the field’s digitalization, and international cooperation.
The first qualifying round of the Young Scientists Competition was also held during the congress. It brought together 50 young researchers from Uzbekistan, Russia, Kyrgyzstan, and Tajikistan, who presented research papers on key areas of modern rheumatology. Based on the results of the first round, the 15 best research papers advanced to the second round.
