Presidents of Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan sign historic Treaty on Eternal Friendship
Following the high-level talks, a ceremony was held to sign bilateral documents.
The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev signed the Treaty on Eternal Friendship and the Decision of the Third Meeting of the Supreme Interstate Council.


The following documents were signed in the presence of the Heads of State:
– Cooperation Agreement in pension provision;
– Cooperation Agreement in culture;
– Cooperation Agreement in tourism;
– Program to increase bilateral trade to $1 billion by 2030;
– Practical Action Plan for implementing the agreements reached in investment and trade;
– Cooperation Program between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs for 2027-2028;
– Cooperation Program between the Ministries of Justice for 2027-2028;
– Memorandum on the exchange of experience and cooperation in canine services;
– Protocols for establishing sister-city relations between Urgench and Khankendi, Bukhara and Lachin, and Urgench and Nakhchivan.
