President visits the Navbahor Football Club Academy
During his visit to Namangan region, the Head of State visited the Navbahor Football Academy and reviewed the conditions created there for young footballers, as well as the education and training process.
Namangan region holds a special place in the country’s sporting life thanks to its rich football traditions and talented players. To train a new generation of footballers in line with international standards, the management of the Navbahor Football Academy has been entrusted to one of the world’s leading football schools – the academy of Dutch club Ajax – for three years.

Ajax is regarded as one of the world’s most renowned football academies. Founded in 1900, it earns an average of €50-70 million annually from the transfer of its graduates to prominent European clubs.
Under the agreement, the clubs will establish a joint youth football academy and introduce Ajax’s management model to train young footballers and coaches from Uzbekistan.

The academy currently employs foreign specialists, including coaches and scouts, who train local young people in line with European football standards.
The President reviewed the academy’s infrastructure, training pitches, and the conditions provided for its students. He also spoke with the young athletes and asked about their dreams, aspirations, and plans for the future.

The further development of national football, support for talented young people, and the expansion of the Uzbekistan national team’s participation in international competitions were addressed at the meeting.
A photo session took place with the participation of the Head of State and the academy’s students.
