President of Uzbekistan congratulates President of Tajikistan on his birthday

On October 5, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a telephone conversation with the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon.

The President of Uzbekistan warmly congratulated the President of Tajikistan on his birthday, wishing him sincere good health, well-being, and great success in his important state duties for the prosperity of the brotherly people of Tajikistan.

Current issues related to developing friendship, good-neighborliness, strategic partnership and alliance between Uzbekistan and Tajikistan were discussed.

The growing momentum of cooperation across all areas was noted with satisfaction. Trade turnover continues to increase steadily, while mutually beneficial cooperation is advancing in transport, energy, geology, agriculture, water management and other sectors.

Efforts are also underway to promote interregional, cultural, and humanitarian exchanges.

The leaders also exchanged views on the regional agenda and discussed the schedule for upcoming bilateral and multilateral events.
