President of Uzbekistan concludes his official visit to Serbia
The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev has concluded his official visit to Serbia.
At Belgrade Nikola Tesla International Airport, the distinguished guests were seen off by the President of the Republic of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić and his spouse.
The first official visit by the President of Uzbekistan to Serbia marked a new stage in the history of bilateral relations. Following the talks, the leaders signed a Joint Declaration on the Establishment of Strategic Partnership. A substantial package of bilateral documents was also exchanged, formalizing agreements reached in priority areas.
President Shavkat Mirziyoyev was awarded Serbia’s highest state award, the Order of the Republic of Serbia on the Grand Collar.
One of Belgrade’s streets was also named after Tashkent.
As part of the business program, the Presidents participated in a joint business forum.
Concluding the official visit, the President of Uzbekistan departed for Tashkent.
The President’s aircraft was escorted by Serbian Air Force fighter jets through Serbian airspace.
