President of the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan attends the Asian Academy of Sciences General Assembly

Shavkat Ayupov, President of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan, is participating in the General Assembly of the Asian Academy of Sciences (AAS) and the First Asian High-Level Scientific Forum, titled “Belt and Road: Shaping a Shared Scientific and Technological Future”.

These international events bring together heads of academies of sciences, leading scientists, and representatives of universities and research organizations from across Asia.

At the official ceremony, Shavkat Ayupov received certificates confirming his status as Vice President and Academician of the Asian Academy of Sciences, as well as a special award for his significant contribution to the advancement of global science.

The program features thematic sessions and roundtable discussions on emerging technologies, natural hazards, environmental challenges, and international scientific and practical cooperation.

During the visit, representatives of the international scientific community took part in meetings and discussions focused on strengthening ties between research organizations, launching promising joint research projects, and identifying new areas for cooperation.
