Pilot renovation program to be developed with the involvement of Turkish specialists
As part of his working visit to the Republic of Türkiye, Sherzod Kudbiyev, Chairman of the National Committee for Sustainable Urban Development and the Housing Market, held talks in Ankara with Mustafa Sungur, Head of the Housing Development Administration of Türkiye (TOKİ).
The meeting focused on providing the population with high-quality, safe, and affordable housing, renovating the aging housing stock, and expanding cooperation in urban development.
During the talks, the parties reviewed the experience of organizing housing construction and renovation, drawing on the revenue-sharing model successfully applied in Türkiye. The parties exchanged views on adapting this experience to Uzbekistan’s conditions.

The head of TOKİ expressed readiness to jointly develop a pilot renovation program with the National Committee for Sustainable Urban Development and the Housing Market, involving Turkish specialists.

Following the meeting, the parties agreed to establish practical cooperation in housing construction, adopt best practices, and implement joint projects.
