Opportunities for collaboration discussed
The Fergana Regional Administration held a meeting with a delegation from the Rosatom Central Asia Regional Center, led by Director General Alexey Dremuchev.
The parties explored promising cooperation opportunities, the progress of investment projects, potential for localizing production, and the adoption of modern nuclear and industrial technologies in the region.
The Russian side showcased Rosatom’s expertise across diverse sectors, including nuclear energy, mechanical engineering, nuclear medicine, digital technologies, and advanced materials production. Special emphasis was placed on areas that could support the technological growth of Fergana region and foster industrial collaboration.
Participants highlighted Uzbekistan’s attractive investment environment and its strong industrial capabilities, especially in Fergana region. They discussed potential for a pilot project in healthcare and joint efforts in areas such as fuel and energy, energy storage, manufacturing of composite materials, workforce development, and transportation logistics.
Following the meeting, the parties agreed to develop a roadmap for priority areas of cooperation and the implementation of joint projects.
