Meeting with the Chinese delegation at the National Human Rights Center
A meeting was held at the National Human Rights Center of the Republic of Uzbekistan with a delegation led by Li Hongkui, Vice Chairman and Secretary-General of the China Foundation for Human Rights Development.
The guests arrived in Uzbekistan to participate in the China – Central Asia Human Rights Development Forum, which will be held in Tashkent on May 14.

Welcoming the guests, Director of the National Human Rights Center, Academician Akmal Saidov, emphasized that the composition and level of the delegation, which includes leading experts, representatives of scientific and academic circles, and government agencies of the People’s Republic of China, underscore the significance and stability of bilateral cooperation in the field of human rights.

Mr. Li Hongkui expressed deep gratitude to the Uzbek side for its great attention and sincere hospitality. He emphasized that since China and Uzbekistan have chosen their own national development paths and are steadily following them, their views on human rights development are also close and similar.

The China – Central Asia Human Rights Development Forum will provide an opportunity to continue the dialogue in a regional format, discuss specific solutions, exchange experiences, and consolidate the agreements reached into a final document.

The parties discussed in detail the preparations for the event and considered and approved several practical proposals. Afterward, members of the Chinese delegation became familiar with the activities of the Human Rights House under the National Human Rights Center of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The guests were particularly impressed by the exhibition of books published by the center and literature dedicated to China, as well as the photo gallery on cooperation between Uzbekistan and China in the field of human rights in recent years.
