Medical Cluster: next stages of the oncology center construction project discussed
The large-scale medical cluster being developed in Tashkent in cooperation with the Export-Import Bank of Korea (Korea Eximbank) is set to add another major facility. The parties reached an agreement during a meeting between Minister of Health Eldor Adilov and Lee Won-seok, Vice President of the South Korean company AUM & LEE Architects & Associates.
During the meeting, the parties discussed in detail the next stages of the project to build a new 265-bed oncology center and signed a consultancy services agreement.
The facility will be a key component of the modern medical cluster being established in Tashkent.
The Minister expressed confidence that the partnership would be mutually beneficial, stressed the importance of ensuring high construction standards and voiced confidence in the Korean side’s extensive experience and quality of work.
The AUM & LEE consortium will provide consulting services in several areas, including design, construction management and supervision, selection of modern medical equipment, and planning for the center’s medical services and information systems.
The project also includes a three-stage practical training program for the center’s staff, covering medical care quality, radiology, nuclear medicine, and radiation therapy.
