Issues of consular cooperation and labor migration under discussion

The First Belarus – Uzbekistan Inter-MFA Consultations on Consular Issues at the Deputy Foreign Minister level were held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus.

The Belarusian delegation was led by the Deputy Foreign Minister Evgeny Shestakov, and the Uzbekistan delegation was led by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Olimjon Abdullayev. The event was also attended by representatives of the Migration Agency of Uzbekistan, the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Belarus, and the Department of Citizenship and Migration of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Belarus.

The parties discussed a wide range of issues related to bilateral cooperation, including the development of consular cooperation, the regulation of labor migration, and the improvement of the legal framework between the two countries.

The negotiations were conducted in a constructive and friendly atmosphere. The parties confirmed their mutual interest in strengthening cooperation.
