Friendly relations between Uzbekistan and Serbia serve the interests of both peoples
During her visit to the Republic of Serbia, Chairperson of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Tanzila Narbayeva, met with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy of Serbia, Adrijana Mesarović.
At the meeting, it was emphasized that the trusting dialogue established between the leaders of Uzbekistan and Serbia provides a solid foundation for advancing important projects for the benefit of the two peoples.
A. Mesarović noted that the results of the President of Serbia’s official visit to Uzbekistan and the agreements at the highest level have brought the bilateral partnership to a qualitatively new level.

During the negotiations, the parties noted with satisfaction the steady growth of economic indicators, including a multiple increase in the volume of mutual trade turnover in recent years. At the same time, it was emphasized that the existing potential has not been fully exploited. In this regard, the possibilities for launching new joint projects in light industry, construction, tourism, the creative economy, education and culture, and the military-industrial complex were discussed.

Special attention was paid to expanding interregional contacts and exchanging experience in labor migration regulation and personnel training.
According to the parties, a comprehensive set of previously signed bilateral documents plays a key role in deepening practical cooperation. In this regard, it is necessary to strengthen direct contacts between governments and parliaments.

Following the meeting, an agreement was reached to develop trade and economic cooperation between the two countries, including stimulating direct business contacts and diversifying agricultural supplies for both countries’ markets.
