Expert dialogue serves as the foundation for a new phase of cooperation between Central Asia and the United Kingdom

The International Institute for Central Asia hosted the first Central Asia – United Kingdom Think Tank Forum, bringing together representatives from government and independent research institutions, the diplomatic corps, international organizations, business and academic communities from Central Asian countries, Azerbaijan, and the United Kingdom.

The Forum was organized by the International Institute for Central Asia jointly with the Overseas Development Institute (ODI Global) and the British Embassy in Uzbekistan.

The discussions focused on prospects for developing cooperation between Central Asia and the United Kingdom in priority areas of strategic importance to the region’s sustainable development and the strengthening of its international ties.

The Forum program includes four thematic sessions. Participants are discussing the development of Eurasian transport connectivity, cooperation on critical mineral resources, strengthening investor confidence, and expanding cooperation in education, professional skills, and safe labor mobility.
