Developing a sustainable energy system
Addressing the impacts of climate change, ensuring the environmental sustainability of the energy sector, and widely implementing low-carbon development models are among the key issues currently at the center of global attention. Therefore, particular emphasis is being placed on exchanging experiences among countries, studying modern technologies, and strengthening international cooperation in the energy sector.
International training seminars aimed at achieving these goals were held in China. Specialists from the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Uzbekistan and organizations within its system also participated in the events, which were held with the support of the Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China and in cooperation with China University of Petroleum (Beijing).

Within the framework of the training programs, discussions focused on transforming the energy sector, ensuring energy security amid climate change, technologies that support environmentally sustainable development, and mechanisms for international cooperation. International practices for reducing carbon emissions, expanding renewable energy capacity, and improving energy efficiency were also presented.
Representatives from countries across Asia, Africa, Europe, and the Pacific region participated in the events, exchanging views and practical experiences on approaches to sustainable energy development.
The 2nd Energy Innovation Conference 2026, held in Beijing, also served as an important platform for dialogue among energy professionals. Hundreds of scientists, experts, and industry representatives attended the conference, focusing on expanding the implementation of innovation in the energy sector.

During the conference, Saidkomil Saidmurodov, Chief Specialist of the Ministry of Energy’s Electricity Generation Department, shared information on reforms underway in Uzbekistan, renewable energy projects, and ongoing modernization within the sector.
“To build a sustainable energy system, it is essential to expand renewable energy sources, introduce energy-efficient technologies, and implement innovative solutions in the sector. Studying international experience and advanced approaches helps organize these efforts more effectively. This event is particularly important in this regard”, said Mr. Saidmurodov.
According to the Ministry, such international dialogue platforms play an important role in acquiring modern knowledge and experience in the energy sector, strengthening cooperation, and supporting the transition to a green economy.
