Cooperation in dual education expands
A meeting with representatives of the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ) was held at the National Agency for Social Protection under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The parties discussed prospects for implementing a dual model of professional training for the social protection sector.
GIZ expert Thomas Lux presented the findings of a study and practical recommendations for developing a training system for social workers and their assistants in Uzbekistan. It was noted that combining theoretical knowledge with practical skills positively impacts the quality of professional training.
During the dialogue, particular attention was given to introducing a dual education program in Social Work. This model combines theoretical instruction at higher education institutions with practical training at Inson social service centers and other organizations in the sector.
An agreement was reached to develop dual education in the social protection sector within the framework of the GIZ PROSPI and TexVET II projects, including the development of organizational mechanisms to implement pilot projects and to ensure the continued cooperation.
