China Central Asia (Uzbekistan) exhibition: new dimensions and prospects for cooperation
Tashkent hosted a press conference dedicated to the China Central Asia (Uzbekistan) 2026 Trade Exhibition.
Media representatives from Uzbekistan and China attending the event highlighted the exhibition’s goals and objectives, as well as opportunities to expand trade and economic cooperation between the two countries.
The event, scheduled for October 14-16 at Uzexpocentre, is organized by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade.
“Enterprises from 19 provinces, autonomous regions and centrally administered municipalities of China are participating in the exhibition”, said Azamat Rakhimov, Head of the Department for the Development of Cooperation with China at the Ministry of Investment, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan. “The indoor exhibition area covers 4,000 square meters, while the outdoor area spans 800 square meters. Five specialized exhibition sections focus on intelligent manufacturing, green energy, consumer electronics, services, and new energy vehicles. In addition, dedicated areas have been set up to showcase China’s technological achievements, business environment and traditional culture.”
During the press conference, particular attention was paid to giving bilateral cooperation greater practical substance. In particular, participants discussed plans to expand cooperation between entrepreneurs through the Uzbekistan – China Investment Forum, trade and economic negotiations, and B2B meetings.
“The exhibition is divided into five specialized thematic zones: smart manufacturing, green energy, consumer electronics, services and new energy vehicles”, said Liu Yue, Chief Representative of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade in Kazakhstan. “These zones showcase China’s latest achievements in industrial development, which align with the region’s priorities for economic growth and industrial modernization. A national image exhibition area titled ‘China Opportunities’ has also been established to highlight the results of the country’s opening-up policy and the favorable business conditions in various regions of China”.
China Central Asia (Uzbekistan) will be more than a venue for showcasing products. It will also provide a platform for practical cooperation through technology exchange, investment dialogue, and new partnerships. The agreements reached and contacts made at the event will create new opportunities for entrepreneurs in both countries.
