Bunyod Hasanov is a two-time world champion
The Uzbekistan national team reached another historic milestone at the U17 World Championships 2026 in Baku.
In the 51 kg weight class, Bunyod Hasanov defeated the host country’s competitor with an 8:0 score, securing the gold medal. This win marked B. Hasanov’s second world title in the U17 category.
Sadriddin Tulqinbayev and Alexandru Ilie Lungu from Romania faced off for the bronze in the 60 kg category, with Uzbekistan’s athlete emerging victorious with a score of 10:2.
Earlier, Abdulaziz Kholmirzayev secured the bronze medal in the 80 kg weight class.
The Uzbekistan national team secured one gold and two bronze medals.
