Aleksandra Barmicheva wins J200 tournament in Türkiye

Uzbekistan’s Aleksandra Barmicheva won the J200 junior tournament in Istanbul, Türkiye, held under the auspices of the International Tennis Federation (ITF).

During the tournament, Barmicheva defeated several strong opponents. In the quarterfinals, she won Türkiye’s Ayşe Bal 3-6, 6-3, 6-4, then defeated Ireland’s Laura Carvalho 6-3, 6-3 in the semifinals. In the final, she overcame Russia’s Maria Shmeleva 6-4, 6-4 to claim the title.

Barmicheva thus became the women’s singles champion at the international Dr. Cemil Tasçıoğlu Cup. The win earned the Uzbek tennis player 200 ranking points.
