Participants of the event became acquainted with modern development of Uzbekistan, its spiritual heritage, unique architectural monuments. The main emphasis in this case was made on pilgrimage (ziyorat) tourism.

The guests were informed about the measures being taken in Uzbekistan on improvement of services in pilgrimage tourism, creation of favorable conditions for guests in the country, introduction of halal certification for food products and services, provision of benefits and preferences for foreign investors in the tourism industry.

As reported by the Press Service of the State Committee for Tourism Development of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the head of the Indonesian Halal Travel Association (ATHIN) Halilintar Bambang noted that Uzbekistan is one of the new and prospective tourism destinations in the Indonesian market. This is due to rich Islamic heritage, colorful culture and a variety of traditions. In his opinion, Uzbekistan will take one of the leading positions among the countries, where tourists from Indonesia are willing to travel.

In addition, presentations of cities of Uzbekistan are held on the Indonesian media market. Therefore, this year a film crew of Net TV channel visited Uzbekistan, which made a video about the tourism opportunities of the country. Within the framework of the program Muslim Travelers, the first episode dedicated to Samarkand was shown, which was watched by over one million people in Indonesia. The second episode, dedicated to Tashkent, will be demonstrated on TV channel on June 7.
