Uzbekistan introduces 7-day visa-free regime for China’s citizens
President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a decree “On establishing a visa-free regime of entry into the Republic of Uzbekistan for citizens of the People’s Republic of China, including the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People’s Republic of China”.

According to the decree, from January 1, 2020, a visa-free regime to be established for entry to Uzbekistan for a period of not more than 7 days in the prescribed manner through the country’s international airports for citizens of the People’s Republic of China, including the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People’s Republic of China.
Since last year, China’s citizens, including the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of China, transiting through Uzbekistan’s international airports, could stay in the country without a visa for up to 5 days if they had a ticket from Uzbekistan Airways to the third country.
