Tourism potential of Uzbekistan is presented in Tehran

During the business forum, meetings were held with representatives of the State Committee on Development of Tourism held meetings with the Deputy Head of Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Organization (CHHTO) for tourist affairs Mohammad Moheb Khodaei, Head of Tourism Marketing of the CHHTO Leila Ajdari, and others.
The Uzbek side told about the created conditions for Muslim tourists, about new projects on restoring rich Islamic culture and heritage – the Center for Islamic Civilization, the Islamic Academy, the Scientific Research Center named after Imam al-Bukhari, etc., as well as about introduction of halal certification, modern tourist infrastructure and various types of tourism, which will not leave tourists indifferent. Representatives of the Iranian Tour Operators Association were provided with brochures "10 reasons to visit Uzbekistan" and presentation slides in order for these materials to be distributed among the members of the Association.
According to statistics about 10 million citizens of the Islamic Republic of Iran traveled abroad in 2017 and in most cases it was family travel. Therefore, the Iranian side was very interested in developing cooperation with Uzbekistan on pilgrimage and health tourism.
The tourism potential of Uzbekistan will also be promoted in the newly opened Uzbek-Iranian trading house. Handouts about tourism in Uzbekistan will be presented there and travel videos about different regions of the country and numerous kinds of tourism will be constantly rotated in the central hall.
