"The Great Silk Road: Cooperation without borders"The 2nd International Forum of Guides "The Great Silk Road: cooperation without borders" started at the Gallery of Fine Arts, in Tashkent. The event is being held within the framework of the International Tourist Guide Day.
The event, organized jointly by the State Committee for Tourism Development, the Ministry of Culture, the National Bank for Foreign Economic Activity of the Republic of Uzbekistan, is being attended by representatives of the tourism sector from such countries as Uzbekistan, Russia, Turkey, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Serbia, as well as the World Federation of Tourist Guide Associations, national guide associations, international experts.
Chairman of the State Committee for Tourism Development of Uzbekistan A.Abdukhakimov, Deputy Minister of Culture K.Okilova, Director of the Gallery of Fine Arts J.Temurkhodjayev, Director of the State Unitary Enterprise "Republican center for advanced training and retraining personnel in tourism" E.Golysheva, Acting Head of UNESCO Office in Uzbekistan D.Badarch, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Uzbekistan E.Utembayev and others noted that large-scale reforms on improving tourism potential, developing the sphere's activities at the level of international requirements are being implemented at the initiative of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
Since ancient times, Uzbekistan has been attracting attention of the whole world as one of the important centers of the Great Silk Road, possessing great potential, natural, historical and cultural values, wonderful traditions and customs. At present, Uzbekistan has entered a new stage of development not only in the political, socio-economic, cultural spheres, but also in the field of tourism.
Decrees of the President of Uzbekistan "On measures of ensuring accelerated development of tourism industry of the Republic of Uzbekistan" of December 6, 2016, "On additional organizational measures of creating favorable conditions for development of tourism potential of the Republic of Uzbekistan" of February 5, 2018 are an important guide to action in creation of optimal economic and organizational legal conditions for accelerated development of tourism, more complete and effective use of the huge tourism potential of the regions, radical improvement of tourism management, creation of a national tourism product and its broad propaganda in the world market, formation of a positive image of Uzbekistan in the sphere of tourism, active attraction of investments into the sphere, introduction of innovative ideas and technologies, raising propaganda of the cultural historical heritage and natural resources of the country to a new level, increasing the tourist flow to Uzbekistan.
Guides are multifaceted professionals. A tourist, arriving in any country gets the first impression through the guides. The II International Forum of Guides "The Great Silk Road: cooperation without borders" provides international experts, guides and museum guides with ample opportunities for sharing knowledge and experience, discussing current and important tasks of organizing excursion activities.
Within the framework of the forum, a scientific practical conference on "The Great Silk Road: cooperation without borders" and a photo exhibition devoted to activities of guides were held. A memorandum of cooperation was signed between the State Unitary Enterprise "Republican center for advanced training and retraining personnel in tourism" and Kazan Federal University, Russia. International experts will conduct master classes for guides and guides of museums in Tashkent and Bukhara.
