Rishtan welcomes tourists
House-workshops of ceramists located in the pottery workshop of Uzbekistan in the city of Rishtan, which have already become famous not only across the country, but also abroad, are actively engaged in attracting foreign tourists to the district.
One of such houses is the workshop of Said Akhmedov, which also combines a guesthouse. Due to possibility of conducting master classes on manufacturing not only pottery using a unique “ishkor” glaze, but also national dishes – pilaf and Uzbek bread, it is quite relevant among the guests of the country. The opportunity to spend a night in a guesthouse located in the courtyard of the workshop also attracts tourists to the district. It allows feeling and experiencing the life and hospitality of Uzbek people.
As reported by the Press Service of the State Committee for Tourism Development of the Republic of Uzbekistan, a house-museum of another famous ceramist Tokhir Khaydarov is also a must-see place among foreign guests. A library for children of Jalayor village, created in the courtyard of the museum, always impresses foreigners with the fact that the artisan pays great attention to education of love, art and literature in the younger generation. In addition, his work with a handwriting peculiar to the master does not leave indifferent any museum visitor.
