Representatives of Changsha High-Tech Industrial Development Zone visited the State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Tourism Development. Chairman of the Committee B.Umarov briefly informed the guests about activities of the Committee and the ongoing reforms in the country, as well as the tourism potential of Uzbekistan. According to Forbes China, the city is included in the top 15 cities in China and was able to grow from a city with incomes below the average to highly profitable in 10 years.

Within the framework of the meeting, the sides discussed possible options for cooperation, in particular, representatives of the High-Tech Industrial Development Zone expressed a proposal to provide a free-of-charge access to online business platform for the State Committee for Tourism Development of the Republic of Uzbekistan and tourism entities. This will allow companies to enter the Chinese market independently and establish mutually beneficial cooperation with local companies.

According to the Committee, issues of simplifying the visa regime between the countries and opening a visa center were also discussed. Representatives of the industrial zone expressed their readiness to assist in this issue when discussing with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China.
