Huawei Tech Investment Tashkent, with support of the State Committee for Tourism Development of the Republic of Uzbekistan, is initiating “Safe Tourism” pilot project in the city of Bukhara. During the trip to the most ancient city of the country, which is also considered one of the centers of tourism development, the company’s top managers met with the leadership of Department of Internal Affairs of the region, the deputy khokim of Bukhara region and representatives of the Committee for Tourism Development.

It should be noted that “Safe Tourism” project is part of “Safe City” concept and combines a set of solutions such as creation of a converged command center, a unified LTE communication network, a data center, and high definition video cameras with face recognition function, car colors and numbers, as well as the ability to conduct analysis of large data.

Huawei has extensive experience in integrating and implementing projects within the framework of “Safe City” and “Safe Tourism” concept. Successful projects have been implemented in Kenya, Nairobi, Pakistan, Lahore, the unified call center system in Saudi Arabia, the Safe Traffic Project in Dushanbe and others.

After successful launch of “Safe Tourism” pilot project, Huawei also plans to help the administration of the city of Bukhara to improve other areas of public services based on development of information and communication technologies.
