The team of girls from Uzbekistan for the first time in history reached the finals of Technovation international competition.

On June 20, 12 finalists from around the world have been determined. Teams-finalists are divided into age groups: 6 teams of the senior age group (15-18), 5 teams of the younger age (10-15). The team of Uzbekistan – Generation Z, is represented among the finalists of the junior group. Their application is called ELIST. Its theme is aimed at gender balance in families and is designed to help to evenly distribute the burden of domestic work between boys and girls.

Now the team will leave for California to present the project in the finals of the collegium of international judges. The final will be held on August 6-10, 2018. Teams will compete for the first 2 places (1 winner will be announced in each age group).

The goal of the Technovation project is to develop skills of critical thinking, entrepreneurship and programming among girls at the age from 10 to 18. The project increases the interest of participants and all involved parties in the technical fields, increasing the percentage of girls in technical professions.
