The Week of Innovative Ideas INNOWEEK 2019 has kicked off at Uzexpocentre.

The Week of Innovative Ideas INNOWEEK 2019 has kicked off at Uzexpocentre.

The opening ceremony of this prestigious international event, organized by the Ministry of Innovative Development, was attended by Advisor to the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdujabbor Abduvakhitov, Deputy Prime Minister Aziz Abdukhakimov, Minister of Innovative Development Ibrohim Abdurakhmanov, as well as representatives of several major international organizations.

Last year, about 5,000 representatives from 20 countries attended the same event. This year’s event gathered more than 6,000 participants from 30 countries.

Several important events took place on the first day of INNOWEEK 2019.

Representatives of local and foreign research and innovation centers, investment funds, technology agencies, technology parks and business incubators took part in the exhibition of innovative products with their innovative technologies, products, projects, prototypes or models for business. Exhibited products, projects and ideas provide an opportunity to attract new investment in the economy of Uzbekistan.

The INNOWEEK program also includes an innovation and investment forum, an international robotics championship – IRC, a regional workshop on “Innovation, technology transfer and the role of intellectual property”, organized jointly with the Asian and Pacific Centre for Transfer of Technology, presentation of the “Leader of innovative ideas” badge, workshop on “Future Foresight”.

The week promises to become a unique platform for all participants in the effective implementation of their ideas.
