Uzbekistan’s wrestlers won 17 medals at the Asian Championship

Uzbekistan’s wrestlers won 17 medals at the Asian Championship Tashkent hosted Asian Youth Wrestling Championship. Athletes from Uzbekistan, China, India, Iran, Iraq, Jordan, Japan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, South Korea, Saudi Arabia, Mongolia, Pakistan, Singapore, Syria, Thailand, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Taiwan and Yemen participated in the championship.

Asilbek Nematov won the gold medal. Amirbek Sultanov and Muhammadali Saydulayev were awarded silver medals. Bronze medals were won by Abror Atabayev, Lazizkhon Uzbekov, Abrorbek Nurmukhammedov and Bekzod Akhmedov.

Munojotkhon Samiyeva became the owner of the gold medal among women. Uzbekistan’ wrestlers Shokhida Akhmedova and Svetlana Oknazarova became silver medalists of the Asian Championship.

In the weight category up to 48 kilograms in freestyle wrestling, Umidjan Jalolov defeated all his rivals and became the champion of Asia. Arslan Rakhimov was awarded gold medal in the weight category up to 51 kg.

In total, Uzbekistan’s wrestlers won 4 gold, 5 silver and 8 bronze medals at the Asian Championship.
