In this round, Uzbekistan’s tennis player Sanjar Fayziyev had to play against Cem Ilkel fr om Turkey. However, Sanjar refused to play a few minutes before the start of the match for unknown reasons and ended his performance in the tournament. Young tennis player Humoyun Sultanov defeated Kristian Lozan from Russia in two sets with the same score 6:4.

In the quarterfinals of the doubles competitions, Sanjar and Humoyun defeated duo from Belarus Sergey Betov and Yaraslav Shyla. Thus, Uzbekistan’s tennis players secured a place in the semifinals, wh ere they will break resistance of Vladislav Manafov (Ukraine) and Vladimir Polyakov (Russia).

In women's competitions, Sabina Sharipova and Nigina Abduraimova also successfully completed the fight in the second round and reached quarterfinals.

In this round, Sabina will play against Anna Morgina from Russia and Nigina – against Julia Terziyska from Bulgaria.
